Val di Mello - Oracoli di Ulisse

View route details

Where were we? Had I perhaps already set my hawk-like eyes on this wonderful route? The last photo of Kundaluna is a clue! The tree now has leaves: the time is ripe! So here I am again in the valley, heading toward a line with the most beautiful name in the Central Alps. The pitches are not trivial, starting from the very first: the big chimney is covered by a thin film of water that makes our ascent rather joyful… a wet climb is a lucky climb! Then comes the traversing pitch, which I mistakenly link into the dihedral, and due to rope drag it feels less like V+ and more like VIII! The traverse under the roof is beautiful, followed by pitches that are not easy but certainly very enjoyable. We descend under a few drops of rain, which—after the initial chimney—we barely even notice.
