Medale - Sulla rotta di Poseidone

View route details

After a quick outing in Medale on Friday—ending with rivers of words about Poseidon—Saverio calls me with a proposal: “Talking about Poseidon got me fired up: let’s go repeat it.” No sooner said than done. If it’s not the most beautiful route I’ve ever repeated in Medale (the Boga has a charm that’s hard to match), it is certainly the second most beautiful. The rock is extremely rough, and Saverio’s hands know it very well! The pitches flow without issues and, before long, the route is finished. Three rappels and we’re back at the base, admiring the slabs of the “Golden Section”… maybe later on, when the days are a bit longer… The last two photos have nothing to do with Medale, but are meant as a suggestion for those interested in this kind of climbing.
