View route detailsAnd here we are again in Val Daone… Who doesn’t dream a bit of Scotland? And so the dream comes true! High temperatures, Placido on the phone saying that some icefalls have already collapsed… but we’ve had a tip-off and head straight for the big flow. There’s no one around. After an embarrassing mistake on my part (dropping the ice axe from the first belay), we set off again and everything goes smoothly. The cascade is beautiful, but it doesn’t spare us a couple of icy showers. And there we are thinking we’re doing something special… meanwhile there was even a spider climbing it, with no ice axes and no crampons…
