Even Saverio, curious, decides to give it a try. I tie in with Jacopo, who—after a false start—gets going again and arrives cleanly at the belay. I start the second pitch well, but my foot slips while clipping a quickdraw. My Alitalia MilleMiglia card gains some extra points. From that moment on I’m not quite as calm, but I still manage to lead all the pitches assigned to me. Great performance by Jacopo, who nearly onsights a 6b+ pitch, convinced it was 6c+. The route is intense, especially physically. We come out exhausted, but happy to have experienced the Motto style.
