Piz Palu - Sperone Bumiller
View route detailsThe project Mattia and I share is quite ambitious: climb the Kuffner in a day, then the Bumiller the following day. The weather forecasts look incredible — too bad that when we arrive, it’s not quite like that. After a while walking on the Pers Glacier, we decide it’s not the right call and trust that the forecast for the next day will be more reliable. Luckily, everything lines up: the overnight freeze is excellent, and we can move quickly alongside the seracs to start what is the most beautiful route on Piz Palü. A good push, and we’re soon on the summit.
