Parete di San Rocco - Dracula

View route details

Some time ago, at Balma Nolesca, I met Roberto, a well-known local climber. I immediately noticed a rack of copperheads, and so we decided to carry out the deed: Roberto had identified a line to be climbed aid-style on the wall of San Rocco. In three days we managed to climb the route, at times very demanding. Roberto is modest and dismisses my A3 rating. On the route we left all the bolts, fixed belays, and the gear needed to rappel down to just before the traverse. The name “Dracula” comes from a bat that flew out of a crack while Roberto was hammering in a piton.
