View route detailsChoosing a route is a long and difficult process... Marcello and Adrian insist they want to climb a route I haven't climbed yet, so (excluding aid routes and extreme ones) there's not much left to do on the Sergent... The Symbol of the New Morning, judging by the various reports in the guidebooks, seems more like a psychedelic journey than a simple, well-protected route, and from this perspective, it falls short of expectations. The climbing is still beautiful, on superb rock, always exposed and interesting. The original bolts are in excellent condition, as are the Copperheads, but it’s best not to trust the slings too much (right, Adri?). Despite the forecast of good weather, after a close encounter with a baby ibex, we return to the car in a light drizzle...
