Val di Mello - Lavorare con lentezza

View route details

[...] and having snatched the man away with trembling hands and led him to the altar, not so that he might, in the solemn manner of sacred rites, accompany the radiant Hymen, but so that, at the very moment of her incestuous marriage, she might fall as a chaste victim, slain by her own parents [...] Accompanied by the gentle melody of a wind instrument echoing through the valley, we make our way (no easy feat with the forest full of leaves and barely visible trails) to the farthest edge of the cliff, convinced we’re about to tackle a stunning route. Unfortunately, however, we soon discover that the vegetation has taken over, and the granite crumbles on the surface in places. The humidity is also high on this muggy September day, and so our enthusiasm wanes as we climb the eight pitches. The last pitch is a real gem, whose sole purpose is to allow for more comfortable rappels off the route (the rappel on the 7b pitch is quite a struggle...) The route description can be found on the Lecco Spiders’ website and is very precise. More than the route description (which is impossible to miss once you’ve found the start), I recommend studying the approach description carefully.
