View route detailsMy summer traverse plan in the Mischabel range calls for skiing all the peaks west of the Alphubel. We take advantage of a break in the weather to tackle the Strahlhorn, which surprises us with a beautiful descent, at times on powder snow. It was a fun trip with two friendly Swiss guys—excellent skiers—whom we met the night before at the hut. We manage to ski all the way down to about 5 minutes from the village of Saas Fee
