Massimo "Max" Flaccavento
I met Max on the Gigante Glacier while I was on a solo trip to the mountains of the Aosta Valley. He’s probably the strongest rock climber I know and one of the greatest lovers of the Western Alps. Two years ago, he told me he’d decided to pursue a career as a volcanological guide. Having successfully completed the course, he now devotes himself full-time to this work.
