Description
Beyond sport routes, systematically bolted, lies the world of alpine routes, both modern and classic, where nothing is certain about the protection, assuming there is any. Placing cams, nuts and pitons correctly becomes essential, because they are the real guarantee for the rope team.
This day is for climbers who have already taken a sport climbing course, lead multi-pitch routes and want to step into the world of alpine routes, without starting over with a full alpine rock climbing course.
We learn to read the folds of the rock to place cams and nuts, to use pitons and to build an anchor on removable gear, under my direct supervision.
Bring the gear you have, I provide the rest. Together we work out whether you really need to buy anything, and what, based on your plans, so you don't waste money on gear you won't use.
